The KLONG IF Blancher sets itself apart through its precise process control, optimized energy and water usage, and flexible, easy-to-clean design, allowing for uniform, gentle blanching that preserves the natural quality, color, and nutritional value of fruits and vegetables while ensuring higher yield and more sustainable production.

Precise Process Control

The KLONG Blancher is equipped with advanced controls that meticulously regulate both temperature and blanching time. This level of precision ensures that every batch receives the exact required treatment, leading to uniform enzyme inactivation and consistent product quality. The OctoFrost IF Blancher reduces the risk of under- or over-blanching, helping maintain the natural flavor, color, texture, and nutritional profile of fruits and vegetables. Optionally, the KLONG™ IF Blancher can be fitted with a second temperature zone to reduce temperature in the final blanching stage for delicate products that are prone to over-blanching.

Cross-Flow Water System

The unique cross-flow water system uses high volume of filtered and recirculated water that showers over and through the product, and immediately exits the blancher. The water then re-enters the heating tank. Due to the high volume of water used, the temperature drop (delta T°) is maximum 3° C. The water flowing through the KLONG IF Blancher has the correct set temperature in every part of the blancher.

Rainshower System

The rainshower system guarantees quickest heat transfer, allowing accurate temperature control within 0.2°C of the set temperatures. The water falls gently over the product by means of gravitation only, therefore product quality is not compromised. Additionally, the rainshower system serves a product cleaning function.

Optimized Water Usage

Unlike traditional blanching systems that may rely on continuous high-temperature water baths, the KLONG IF Blancher employs efficient heating and water recirculation methods designed to minimize resource consumption. Through innovative engineering, it uses less water and energy while still achieving optimal blanching results. This not only lowers operational costs but also supports a more sustainable production process, aligning with modern environmental and economic standards.
